How It Works: The Navy method uses circumference measurements (neck, waist, and for women, hips) along with height to estimate body fat percentage. The BMI method estimates body fat based on your Body Mass Index (weight relative to height) and age. The Navy method is generally more accurate for most people.
For Best Results: When measuring circumferences, ensure the tape is snug but not compressing the skin. Measure at the natural waist (narrowest point), neck (just below the larynx), and hips (widest point for women).
